    Occlusion, thrombosis of the central retinal vein is the second most common vascular disease after diabetic retinopathy. Retinal vein occlusion usually affects the older population. Hypertension, stroke, advanced age, sex, hyperlipidemia are all significant risk factors. Anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents have been shown to be effective in improving vision at this condition. Aim of this paper is to describe a 38-year-old woman with a medical history of hypertension who was complaining on blurred vision in the left eye. After a complete ophthalmological examination, she started with anti-VEGF treatment. After 3 monthly applications of aflibercept according to the T&E protocol, the treatment continued according to the PRN protocol, during which there was an exacerbation of the disease.

    Angle recession glaucoma is classified as a type of traumatic secondary open-angle glaucoma. Angular resection is strongly associated with traumatic hyphema. As many as 60% of nonpenetrating or consecutive ocular trauma will develop some degree of angle resection. The most commonly associated conditions are sports injuries (boxing, paintball), traffic accidents (impact from an airbag, other ocular trauma), physical attacks, falls from a height. We present a case of a 27-years-old patient injured in a traffic accident in whom we diagnosed secondary glaucoma with a recession of the iridocorneal angle after blunt trauma to the eyeball. Regression of symptoms and normalization of the condition of the left eye were monitored for one week. At the first control, the visual acuity has improved significantly. When measuring the eye’s pressure of the left eye, an increase in intraocular pressure with a value of 27mmHg was observed. Asymmetry of different sectors of the angle was determined gonioscopically. Subsequently, anterior-segment optical coherence tomography was performed once again, which confirmed the presumed diagnosis.

    SPONTANEOUS VISUAL RECOVERY FOLLOWING COMBINED CENTRAL RETINAL VEIN AND CILIORETINAL ARTERY OCCLUSION – CASE REPORT
    (2023-12)
    ;
    ;
    Combined central retinal vein occlusion and cilioretinal artery occlusion is a rare variant of retinal vascular disease, which causes sudden unilateral visual acuity loss. The most important risk factors are the same as those for atherosclerosis (advanced age, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, cigarette smoking, positive family history). The purpose of this paper is to describe а 41-year-old patient with reduced vision in the right eye with this condition, who had spontaneous improvement in visual acuity.

    Ендофталмитис е воспаление на внатрешните обвивки на окото, како резултат на интраокуларна колонизација на инфективни агенси, со ексудација во стаклестото тело и очната водичка. За постигнување на најоптимален исход по видната функција есенцијални се рана дијагноза и третман. Типот или категоријата на ендофталмитис влијаат врз клиничката презентација, микробиолошкиот наод и исходот по однос на видната функција. Во одредување на терапискиот пристап, потенцијалниот каузативен микроорганизам и степенот на окуларна инволвираност треба да ја одредат агресивноста на терапијата. Ендофталмитисот е една од најсериозните офталмолошки состојби, која бара итна медицинска помош и третман за да се спаси видот или да се спаси интегритетот на окото.

    Увеити се воспаленија на увеалниот тракт со хроничен, рецидивирачки тек, најчесто со билатерално зафаќање. Покачувањето на интраокуларниот притисок кај увеитите се смета дека е трета најчеста компликција, после цистоиден едем на макула и катаракта. Два најчести механизми кои доведуваат до покачување на ИОП кај увеитите се воспаление на трабекулумот (трабекулитис) или опструкција на дренажниот систем со ексудат. Предни увеити предизвикан од одредени вируси, увеитичните ентитети како што се Posner-Schlossman-ов синдром и Fuchs-ов хетерохромен циклитис, потоа Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada синдормот, Mb.Behcet, саркоидоза и јувенилен идиопатски артритис се особено повразни со покачување на интраокуларниот притисок.

    The role of morphological characteristics of subretinal hyperreflective material of the regulation of wet form of senile macular degeneration and the response to anti-VEGF treatment
    (ЗОМ, 2022-09)
    ;

    ;
    Antivascular growth factor(anti-VEGF) therapy in neovascular age-related macular degeneration is currently the standard of care for the treatment and maintenance of visual acuity in wet age-related macular degeneration. Morphological changes such as sub-retinal fluid (SRF), intra-retinal fluid (IRF), fluid under the retinal pigment epithelium (PED) and hyper-reflective material (HRM) are actually anatomical biomarkers that are a quantitative marker for the course, the outcome of the disease and the response to the anti-VEGF medication. Objectives of the study: 1.Monitoring the presence and type of HRM, localization and its morphological characteristics in patients treated with anti-VEGF2 2.The influence of different type of HRM on the stability of the disease evaluated through the fluctuation of morphological markers and the frequency of intravitreal drug applications. 3.Final outcome of visual function and scar formation in patients treated with anti-VEGF. These findings suggest that instability of disease activity is detrimental to optimal anatomic outcome. Further research will be focused on more data validation and specific predictors of instability and response to treatment that may be key to outcome and femoral function in this group of patients. To enable a personalized dosing approach to minimize instability in Boslet activity in neovascular, wet form of senile macular degeneration.
