Item type:Publication, Una comunicazione metafisica: Liljana Uzunovic e Italo Calvino(Blaze Koneski Faculty of Philology, 2024)Talevska, IrinaSybille Krämer, la filosofa tedesca dei media e della conoscenza, nel suo libro dedicato alla medialità individua un’ironia quando il principio metafisico sviluppato da Platone in poi viene applicato al fenomeno moderno dei media. Secondo il principio metafisico, ciò che esiste realmente si trova al di là delle apparenze del mondo percepibile, il senso deve essere “depurato dalle scorie della sensibilità” (Krämer). Ma se questa metafisica viene applicata ai media, secondo Krämer, si assiste ad una particolare ironia: “(…) I media tendono a dissolvere e a rendere invisibile la loro propria materialità e corporeità in funzione del senso e dei contenuti comunicati attraverso di essi. Se, quindi, riflettendo sui media pratichiamo un gesto metafisico, si viene a produrre un rovesciamento ironico del principio metafisico: dietro al contenuto mediale palese, infatti, possono essere portate alla luce la materialità e tecnicità nascoste dei media!” E oggi, questo rovesciamento, la tecnicità dei media, in senso generale, ha ormai permeato anche il processo di traduzione. Il presente saggio si propone di mettere in luce un atto opposto, un atto di resistenza all’afflusso della tecnologia nelle sfere della riflessione umana – in cui il processo di traduzione occupa una posizione fondamentale approfondendo una piccola parte del lavoro di una delle traduttrici più apprezzate nel contesto macedone: Liliana Uzunovic. In particolare, ci soffermeremo su alcune sue traduzioni di Italo Calvino, cercando di analizzare il processo di traduzione di un testo letterario/filosofico come un atto di comunicazione metafisica fra l’autore e il traduttore. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Revolutionizing Language Learning: the Use of Digital Technologies, Call and AI Learning Apps in the EFL Context(South East European University, Tetovo, 2025); The 21st century is marked by rapid technological advances, which have had an impact on all spheres of life, including education. As it is now impossible to imagine life without all the technological devices we have at our disposal, it is impossible to imagine the modern classroom without them, as well. Certainly, not incorporating all technology has to offer would be somewhat counter-productive, as the advantages are evident in terms of increasing learner motivation, making classes more fun, allowing for faster communication between teachers and learners, among others. However, teachers need to strike a careful balance between innovation and preservation as they reevaluate conventional language teaching paradigms in light of incorporating different CALL frameworks and digital technologies in the classroom, as well as numerous AI learning apps as efficient tools in enhancing EFL acquisition. This paper addresses these issues, the various aspects that may have an adverse effect not just in the sphere of education but in life, and compares two AI apps - Duolingo and TalkPal - in EFL learning. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
