Abstract
Blaze Koneski as an exquisite scholar, and authority of the 19th century Macedonian culture represents a unique source for all kinds of investigations of this culture (linguistic, literary, historical, philosophical, socio-political, etc.). This feature refers to his interdisciplinary project, that signifies (since the 1950s) the foundation of Macedonian cultural accounts on tradition. Koneski managed to provide an interpretation of a higher rank, actualizing himself towards his own culture as Other. That is a form of meta-interpretation, which rejects statements that convey false value judgments (stigmatizations like “developed culture”, “primitive cultural milieu”, etc.).
