    Transitioning of IT Companies from Waterfall to Agile Methodologies

    Flexibility and quick response to demands are imperative in today’s business environment, as the rapid pace of technology, innovation and develop- ment requires organizations to deliver results faster than ever. The traditional development methodologies, like waterfall, cannot respond to the rapid increase of the business needs. Numerous organizations are starting to move towards new agile methodologies. Overspend budgets, missed deadlines, solutions that did not met the business requirements, are some of the main reasons that forced organizations to transition to agile. The goal of this paper is to elaborate the transition phases of the organization from waterfall to agile methodologies. We have presented the characteristics of an agile/digital organization and introduced the microservices architecture as phase in the agile progression. Finally, we showcase the results of the analysis of the current IT architecture in Makedonski Telekom and how it fits in the new digital world, as well as the process of creation of the transition roadmap in Makedonski Telekom towards creating the new IT microservices based architecture.

    M-government framework

    M-government is largely a matter of getting public sector IT systems geared to interoperability with citizen’s mobile devices. In this regard, developing a coherent m-government framework in the public sector is an important factor. The basic concept for good framework is that it is principle-driven. A common mobile public services framework must first and foremost incorporate the following five principles: Interoperability, Security, Openness, Flexibility and Scalability. A short survey report for Macedonia is presented, with special attention in bridging the digital divide among developing and developed countries. As the survey in Macedonia has shown, the citizens should be carefully educated in order to feel comfortable with m-government. It involves public campaign and benefits that the citizens can clearly see and understand. Key points of innovative ideas and views for further research and development in this field is sketched in the paper

    Devising UIF Model in Designing Usable User Interface Impacted from Shorter-Time-To-Market Phenomena

    The research goal is set in devising a UIT (Usability interface Factors) model in designing user interface when there is a time pressure and investigating the todays software company’s tendency to shift towards shorter-time-to-market phenomena, while still carrying about high quality of User Interface- UI and User Experience-UX. Currently there is only few published research analysing this tendency and habit of today’s companies. Also, there is no published research that addresses efforts in handling this habit by analysing and assessing the impact of IU design systems for increasing the level of usability using UI consistent. However, the complexity of the research landscape and the diverse set of approaches and goals impedes the analysis and advancement of research and the identification of promising research areas, challenges, and research directions. As research, method will use analyses of published research and then surveys and questionnaires to collect information from a representative sample of a broad population using specifically devised questionnaire. Insights and recommendations are provided.
