Abstract
Starting from the significance and complexity of the topic, the main goal in this research is to analyze the impact of financial markets on the development of small and medium enterprises, as well as analysis of their impact on economic development, with particular emphasis on the Republic of Macedonia. As the main hypothesis reads: developed markets positively influence the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and also, the development of the country as a whole (GDP), other hypothesis that are closely related to the main hypothesis prove the same, and they are: Revenues and borrowing directly affect the return on assets in a enterprise(ROA), gross value added of small and medium enterprises impact on the economic development of the country (expressed through GDP growth). Collected data through the survey, were processed using the SPSS program and using multiple regression model to determine the dependence between the analyzed data. Starting from the research results of the performance of various European developed and underdeveloped countries, including Macedonia, withdrawn answer to the question to which financial resources SMEs (small and medium enterprises) have easier access, if SME know the conditions of the capital market and whether they can really be identified as drivers say the driving force of economic development.
