Abstract
The evolution of Italian teaching is fuelled by technological progress, which offers
a wide range of tools and resources to create specialized training proposals. These tools
allow to develop specific skills, create flexible and customizable learning paths, adaptable to
autonomous and remote learning. The didactic paths aim to satisfy the needs of diversified
learners, favouring the interaction in various communicative contexts.
There is a growing demand for Italian courses for academic purposes, especially for university
students wishing to study in Italy or participate in the Erasmus programme. These students,
starting from levels B1 and B2, need specific language skills to address content related to
their study disciplines or professions, such as law, medicine and economics.
The contribution proposes a teaching unit that involves students as social actors in the
Italian reality, providing them with practical tools for daily survival. The work is divided
into two parts: a theoretical part that discusses the teaching of Italian for specific purposes
and the linguistic characteristics of sector languages, with a focus on the bureaucratic
language in medicine; and a practical part that presents a teaching unit developed within
the LMOOC4Slav project, intended for B2 level university students. This teaching unit, to be
completed independently with the help of tutors, aims to develop written comprehension
and production through activities aimed at familiarizing students with the lexical,
morphosyntactic and textual structures of bureaucratic Italian.
