Item type:Publication, Transitioning of IT Companies from Waterfall to Agile Methodologies(2020-09-24) ;Zhbajnova Mircheska, AleksandraFlexibility and quick response to demands are imperative in today’s business environment, as the rapid pace of technology, innovation and develop- ment requires organizations to deliver results faster than ever. The traditional development methodologies, like waterfall, cannot respond to the rapid increase of the business needs. Numerous organizations are starting to move towards new agile methodologies. Overspend budgets, missed deadlines, solutions that did not met the business requirements, are some of the main reasons that forced organizations to transition to agile. The goal of this paper is to elaborate the transition phases of the organization from waterfall to agile methodologies. We have presented the characteristics of an agile/digital organization and introduced the microservices architecture as phase in the agile progression. Finally, we showcase the results of the analysis of the current IT architecture in Makedonski Telekom and how it fits in the new digital world, as well as the process of creation of the transition roadmap in Makedonski Telekom towards creating the new IT microservices based architecture. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Devising UIF Model in Designing Usable User Interface Impacted from Shorter-Time-To-Market Phenomena(2019-09-12) ;Fetaji, Bekim ;Ebibi, Mirlinda ;Abdullahu, Aferdita; The research goal is set in devising a UIT (Usability interface Factors) model in designing user interface when there is a time pressure and investigating the todays software company’s tendency to shift towards shorter-time-to-market phenomena, while still carrying about high quality of User Interface- UI and User Experience-UX. Currently there is only few published research analysing this tendency and habit of today’s companies. Also, there is no published research that addresses efforts in handling this habit by analysing and assessing the impact of IU design systems for increasing the level of usability using UI consistent. However, the complexity of the research landscape and the diverse set of approaches and goals impedes the analysis and advancement of research and the identification of promising research areas, challenges, and research directions. As research, method will use analyses of published research and then surveys and questionnaires to collect information from a representative sample of a broad population using specifically devised questionnaire. Insights and recommendations are provided. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, KupiKniga. mk: transforming a website into a profitable ecommerce system using assisted conversions funnel(2012-09); There is a lack of published research data on the goal conversions of the real e-commerce systems and e-commerce users’ behavior in Macedonia and the Balkan countries. We present the findings of the 6 months research on the strategies applied on the regional e-commerce online bookstore Kupikniga.mk. Several conversion channels and combination funnels were applied, like paper flyers, TV and news presence, multi-level referral lists, social networks, search engines optimization, AdWords, social advertising, online video advertising, email advertising, newsletters, personalized search and recommendations. Based on the analytical data from 2,000 registered byers for 10,000 offered items, we draw conclusions on the conversion rates of different channels and model the behavior of the average e-commerce user in the region. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Mixnets: Implementation and performance evaluation of decryption and re-encryption types(Fakultet elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, 2012-09-30); The anonymous channels have been the essence of numerous protocols that include anonymous message passing between peers. The mixnet structure is one way to accomplish the anonymity . Since the publication of the Chaumian mixnet, there have been many practical implementations. There are two main approaches to implement mixnets: the decryption (Chaumian) and the re-encryption mixnets. In this paper we analyze four types of mixnets, of which one decryption and three re-encryption types. They were implemented in the Java programing language and evaluated on several criterias as: the number of messages, the total number of nodes, the number of threshold nodes, and the key length of underlying crypto system. In the results section we compare the results from the practical tests to answer the research question, which type of mixnets has better features. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Empirical Analysis of Quality Models in Practice in Small IT Companies in SEE Region(Elsevier, 2015-06-02) ;Imeri, Florinda; Hamiti, MentorA significant problem of the global industry is the costs of software problems or errors which affects not only software developers but their customers and the end users of the software. Systems fail because of inadequate performance, security, reliability, usability, or precision, commonly known as quality characteristics. Quality is one of the main assets which enable a firm to enhance its global competitive position. Software metrics and quality models help increase the performance by measuring software quality. Different software quality models are proposed by different researchers. A number of well known quality models are used to build quality software. Using the survey technique this study investigated the use of quality models in practice and the testing practices, conducted among ten software companies in SEE region, Macedonia and Kosovo. This research relies upon collection of empirical data, “qualitative” from interviews with managers regarding the use of quality models, quality assurance techniques, and “quantitative” from questionnaire, filled in by practitioners. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Web System for interlocutor's Availability(Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Macedonia, 2013); Janevska, ElenaIt is inevitably noticeable that mobile technologies are increasingly occupying a central place in today's world. Currently, they form the fastest growing technologies and it can easily be concluded that a generation of smart mobile devices has started. Today, there are four billion active users of mobile phones and one billion users are familiar and are using smartphones. Also, for two to three years, we are expecting accession to the Internet from mobile devices to surpass joining the Internet via desktop devices [1]. This situation requires more work and research in this area, so that we can create new and useful mobile applications that hopefully in the future might become necessary in everyday situations. However, developing mobile applications is not only creating the software that runs on any portable device with low power and with limited operating system’s and platform’s features. Creating a mobile application means to design and create entire systems with components of different nature that will exist individually and independently but will provide all the data and functions that a mobile application needs. Briefly, mobile phones cannot, and should not carry large processing or large data. Their duty is only in such communication with external systems. This paper will present a system of multiple components, with special focus on a mobile application that will enable new, so far unknown function for all users of the Android operating system. Namely, it is a system which provides fast information about the availability of interlocutors. It is presented in an intuitive way on the device display, and the same information is taken from the user’s calendars. All details will be presented in the following chapters. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Wireless and Mobile Services(Institute of Informatics, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Macedonia, 2003); In Europe and Asia, transactions of mobile commerce and services are reaching billions of dollars per year. The European mobile market is expected to range between EUR 7,8 billion and EUR 27,4 billion in 2006, with a median forecast of EUR 18,9 billion. Successful new market creation requires that a set of convergent forces drive all players in the same relevant direction. Seven major forces have been identified that need to be in place to stimulate the feedback loops. Many content providers currently base their services on SMS, rather than WAP. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
