    INFLUENCE OF THE COMPONENTS OF THE WINDOW ON THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
    (2024-02)
    Jevtoska, Elena
    ;
    The purpose of the windows as a construction product is to provide the building with natural light and the opportunity to ventilate the interior and at the same time providing protection to the room against external influences such as wind and rain, as well as to prevent uncontrolled cooling or heating of the room or the whole building in which they are built in. A window is a complex product which is constructed of different parts that could be made of different materials. In addition to providing light and protection from external influences such as rain and wind, the window has a key part in the energy efficiency of buildings. Energy efficiency as a term is usually associated in with two separate approaches, energy effects of devices and energy efficiency measures. When it comes to an energy-efficient device, then it is the device that has a high degree of energy utilization, while measures related to energy efficiency are all that we can do to reduce energy consumption. In order to protect the energy of the buildings, among other things, well-chosen windows of good quality and their proper installation play a key role in it. This research is focused on how much the component parts of the window have an influence on the thermal conductivity of the entire window, in fact, how different combinations of profiles that are used and glass packages affect the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the windows.

    The quality of a product is a characteristic that demonstrates how well it meets the needs for which it is intended. Given that, a window purpose is to provide light and desired ventilation to a room, while at the same time protecting the building from external influences such as air permeability, water permeability and wind resistance, we prove that it is of high quality the more it provides us with these conditions. A window as a product is a complex composition of different materials and parts. The different parts of a window include the basic structural elements, filling elements, fitting, and additional accessories. The basic structural elements of a window are the supporting frame and the window sash. The corner joints of these elements will be the target of research, in terms of how the strength of the joint of the corner segments of windows made of wooden frame, PVC frame or aluminium frame can affect the window's resistance to air permeability, water permeability and wind resistance.

    This study presents an artificial intelligence–assisted optimization framework for minimizing surface roughness (Rₘₐₓ) in wood band sawing. A third-order Polynomial Regression Model (PRM-3) was developed and trained on experimentally collected data obtained under varied cutting conditions, including angle, height, and feed rate. To ensure robust generalization, configurations with a 60° cutting angle were deliberately excluded from training and used solely for out-of-sample validation. PRM-3 was integrated with the Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm to identify optimal process configurations. For comparative purposes, a Gaussian Process Regression (GPR) model was also implemented to evaluate the relative generalization capability. Results confirmed the superior performance of PRM-3 in terms of accuracy, stability, and generalization, compared to GPR, demonstrating high potential for deployment in intelligent wood machining applications. The proposed framework represents a valuable integration of interpretable modeling and automated optimization for surface quality control in industrial settings

    The goal of the research presented in the paper is the analysis of various quality control procedures in a factory that produces upholstery products. The upholstery industry is very developed in Vranje, the competition is high, so quality control has a huge impact on the company's operations. Quality control is one of the key elements in the production management system in a furniture factory. Its role is to ensure that each product meets defined technical, aesthetic and functional requirements, as well as the expectations of end users. Establishing systematic quality control — from incoming control of raw materials, through process control at all stages of production, to final control of finished products — enables the detection and elimination of defects at an early stage, thereby significantly reducing the costs of repairs and complaints. This paper presents a complete quality control system in a furniture factory, from start to finish, and presents the conclusions reached, as well as their implementation for the better business of the company

    Прозорецот како градежен производ има за цел на објектот да му пружи природна светлина и можност за проветрување на ентериерот, но истовремено и да ја заштити просторијата од надворешни влијанија како што се ветар и дожд како и да спречи неконтролирано ладење или греење на просторијата односно објектот во која е вграден. Со оглед на намената квалитетен прозорецот е оној кој штити од продор на воздух, продор на вода, отпорност на ветер како и неконтролирано губење на енергијата. Прозорецот е комплексен производ кој е составен од различни делови кои може да бидат направени од различни материјали. Во рамките на ова истражување ќе бидат тестирани различни видови на прозорците кои ќе дадат можност за споредба на добиените резултати со што ќе се добие податок кои составни елементи имаат влијание врз крајниот квалитет на прозорецот и врз неговата енергетска ефикасност. Основната цел е да се докаже колку изработката на прозорците, користениот профил, користениот оков, користеното стакло влијаат врз одредени делови од квалитетот на прозорецот како и врз енергетската ефикасност на прозорецот. За да се направи истражувањето ќе бидат тестирани различни прозорци согласно европските норми EN 1026:2016 (тест метода за пропустливост на воздух), EN 1027:2016 (тест метода за пропустливост на вода), EN 12211:2016 (тест метода за отпорност на ветар). Прозорците ќе бидат селектирани во различни групи кои ќе овозможат споредба на резултатите. На различни видови на прозорци со користење на различни стакло пакети ќе биде направена и математичка пресметка за коефициентот на топлоспроводливост согласно ЕN ISO 10077-1 (калкулативна метода за пресметка на топлинска пропустливост за прозорци и врати).

    Influence of the Inappropriate School Furniture on the Bodies of Children in Development
    (2023)
    Jevtoska, Elena
    ;
    Range of activities performed in a sitting position are requiring a particular sitting angle, meaning many different positions of the body are considered as ‘sitting”. A wrongly chosen position for a particular activity may affect the curvature of the spine, can cause fatigue of the muscles on the back, on the abdomen, in the pelvis and in the femur bone, can affect the circulation in the lower extremities, and can increase pressure on the nerves affecting temperature exchange of the body. With the increase of the time spent in a sitting position and the consequences that can be brought by an incorrect sitting position, it is necessary to pay more attention when designing the chairs. The influence of the sitting position is especially expressed in the groups of users who are spending most of the time in this position while performing their daily activities. This group of users also includes children of school age spending the school day in a sitting position. If it is not carefully dimensioned and designed, the long-term use of furniture for sitting and working in educational institutions can cause harm to the health of the users. The purpose of this research is to provide data on the effect of a wrongly dimensioned chair on different height users of school furniture.

    ;
    Sitting position of the body is used in the performance of many daily activities and physiological needs. Most often, the sitting position is chosen when doing something that requires increased precision with the hands, while having good eye control. Therefore, the sitting position is most often used in the educational process ,during classes , while writing or drawing. Prolonged sitting in school desks can contribute to deformities of the skeleton of students if they sit on chairs inappropriate for their age. The control of the measures of the chairs is performed in accordance with the standard EN 1729-1: 2015 Furniture - Chairs and tables for educational institutions - Part: Functional dimensions. This paper will consider how the required measures and height groups in the standard are related with the anthropometry of children in growth and development . Is it necessary for a school to have chairs of all height groups to meet the needs of all students or it can be achieved with 2 or 3 different height groups of chairs.

    ;
    The window as a product used in construction aims to provide natural light and the possibility for ventilation in the building where it is placed but at the same time to protect the room from external influences such as wind and rain and to prevent uncontrolled cooling or heating of the building in which it is built-in. Given the purpose, a quality window is one that protects against air penetration, water penetration and provide wind resistance. The window is a complex product that is composed of different parts that can be made of different materials. As part of this research, windows constracted from profiles made of different materials (wood, PVC, aluminum) with approximately the same dimensions of the profiles will be tested. The same type of glass package will be built in every window. The goal is to prove whether the material which is used for making the window profile has an impact on the final quality of the window. To carry out the research, thirty windows will be tested of which ten are made of wooden profile, ten of aluminum profile and ten of PVC profile in accordance with European norms EN 1026:2016 (test method for air permeability), EN 1027: 2016 (water permeability test method), EN 12211:2016 (wind resistance test method).

    The aim of the researches presented in the paper is to show how the exploitation of furniture affect the strength of its connectors, more precisely the bending strength of the final corner dismountable joints for designed furniture – office desk. For studying this influence, 2 office desks were made (from chosen material OSB panels), joined by dismountable connectors, and also from the same material and the same type of connectors, reference test fixtures were made and their bending strength was the value of comparison. Office desks were tested according to European Standard for determining the stability of the structure (EN 527-3:2003 E) and that was simulated exploration of furniture. After that, the final corner compositions were cut off, and its bending strength was compared with the reference test fixtures strength. The research results showed that the exploiting of dismountable furniture has not a significant impact on their compositions strength.
