Abstract
Blockchain is a growing list of linked blocks. Since each participant stores the whole list of transactions, the storage space rapidly increases. Therefore, there is a need of changing the storage concept in blockchain. There are several solutions for this problem based on network coding and secret sharing. In this paper, we propose a novel use of Shamir's secret sharing scheme for reducing the storage cost in blockchain system.
