Abstract: With the rapid development of the additive manufacturing (AM) technologies the need for design methodology is also increased. Proper rules and guidelines in the early design stages can save time and ensure better end results. Main goal is to influence the designers and engineers to change their designing process by applying these rules and guidelines from the beginning of the process. In our research we are focused on the FFF (fused filament fabrication) as one of the most used AM processes by the designers and also engineers in the early product development stages. We apply the DfAM in different product designs in order to validate our premise.
