Abstract: In recent years software quality has become a matter of high interest especially to software developers, managers and maintainers. Regarding the fact that software is evolving into extremely important part for a company to be competitive in its business, the requirement for the software to be greatly accessible for a company in accomplishing its ambitions means that the software should have a great level of user convenience, quality and utility. The aim of this study is to determine the way ISO standards and certification for software quality are accepted by companies and the customers. It examines the way it reflects on the quality management system of the company and how it helps customers choose what is best for them and preserve their interests.
