Планирање на локален економски развој - со посебен осврт на Општина Штип

Abstract

Planning is a phase of a management process in which are making decisions about the goals that guide the overall activity of an economy, sector or company. Every country aims to achieve high economic growth and to improve the living standards of the population. With the process of planning future activities - the desired goal can become a reality.Nowadays especially current issue is the planningof economic development ofmunicipalities andregions in thenational economies. Local Economic Development (LED) is the process through which the public sector, private sector and other non-governmental institutions, groups and associations wishing to achieve economic growth and development of a given municipality or region. This includes promotion of the municipality by improving the business climate, increasing the number of jobs, improve infrastructure, the environment, urban and rural development, education, culture, etc. Republic of Macedonia is in a process of enclosing and adjustment with the principles of the European Union related to the management of municipalities and regions. In this context, the Republic of Macedonia is implementing two processes related to the management and planning of local economic development: the process of decentralization and regionalization. Macedonia intends efficiently and effectively to implement the planning process of local economic development. Leverage of all this is the adoption oflegislationand thepreparing planningdocuments related with the process of local economic development. Despite all the efforts of the institutions, the planning process of local economic development is not yet fully implemented. Accordingly, this doctoral dissertation providesdirections for improving the planning of LED in the country, and at the same time will be prepared strategy forlocal economis development of Stip, through which will be pointed to the problems of themunicipality. Therefore, the contribution of the doctoral dissertation is in providingdirections for successful planning of LED in Macedonian municipalities and in the preparation of strategy for LED Stip.
