Abstract: This doctoral thesis analyzes the extent to which employees are engaged in their organization and examines the influential role that organizational culture and organizational communication have on employee engagement. The main purpose of the study is to examine whether there is a statistical relationship between organizational culture and communication in predicting the engagement of employees who work in public high schools in the country. High competition, as well as the desire to achieve success, has led organizations to carefully study organizational culture and communication. This paper tests the organizational engagement in the public sector of secondary education in the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM), by analyzing the impact of factors: organizational culture, organizational communication and involvement in the work of the secondary education sector. Through a review of the literature, the synthesis of theoretical-conceptual models and verification of research hypotheses through original research knowledge, the links between existing variables, the relationships and correlations that exist between them and the organizational engagement are tested. The quantitative research strategy used in this paper, where the surveyed population is the employees of several public high schools in RSM, on a convenient sample, enabled from case to case survey of the members who participated in the research. The data obtained from the measuring instrument are analyzed based on the model of statistical analysis, in the SPSS program. The conclusions and recommendations of this paper, based on the results of empirical and theoretical analysis, tend to contribute to increase the engagement of the employees in the public high schools in the country, as well as for enriching the literature in the field of management in education.
