dc.description.abstractThe paper examines the protection of personal data in the Legal System of the Republic of Macedonia according to the provisions of the Law for Protection of Personal Data from 2005. The analysis of the standards and regulations relating to protection of personal data is focused on the scope of implementation of the Law, the principles for data processing, conditions for data processing and the rights of the data subject guaranteed by the Law. Relevant case law of the Administrative Court and High Administrative Court of the Republic of Macedonia, Directorate (national data protection authority) and the European Court of Human Rights is also analyzed. Furthermore the paper examines the degree of harmonization of Macedonian law with the EU regulation relating to personal data protection.en_US
