Abstract
The connection between the geodetic deformation measurements and the process of monitoring the construction during their exploitation is extremely important for defining the geometric state of the structures, as well as for determining their "conditioning" readiness. Monitoring of bridge structures to determine vertical components of deformation is often a problem for which only surveying professionals using appropriate methods and measurement technologies can offer a solution.
The use of precise geometric leveling to determine the vertical component of deformation in construction is an extremely important part of geodetic deformation measurements. This method is characteristic of direct measurements which provides highly accurate results in the application of specific and precise geodetic measurement technology.
The paper presents the concept and basic results of the geodetic deformation measurements of the "Srbinovо bridge" from the Gostivar-Kicevo railway, which uses a pre-prepared loading pattern. The loading scheme itself was defined in coordination with colleagues from the Department of Metal Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engineering - Skopje, and in accordance with the capabilities of the loading vehicle provided by MZ Transport AD - Skopje.
The results of the measurements showed that the vertical displacements were within the expected range of -0.3 mm to -1.2 mm depending on the loading pattern as well as the position of the measuring point relative to the bridge construction itself.
