Abstract
General meeting of the shareholders plays crucial role in the structure of the company. This is
forum where shareholders are practicing their rights, acknowledge by the relevant legal acts and
the internal acts of the company. This is very important for the achieving inclusive shareholders
activism. In that regard, the author of this paper is analyzing the relevant provisions concerning
the general meeting of shareholders contained in the Companies act of 2006 of United Kingdom,
the Aktiengesetz of Germany and the Law on Trade Companies (Закон за трговските друштва)
of North Macedonia
