Abstract
This research paper represents the thorough analysis of non-fatal and fatal injuries that occurred on construction sites of the Republic of Serbia. The research was done based on 113 injuries, which were the subject of the site inspection realized by Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs. The analysis showed that 44% of injuries happened in the construction MSEs. Half of all injuries occurred due to the falls below, whereas most of the injuries happened while realizing the operation of mechanization, carpentry works and finishing works. More than 42% of injuries occurred to workers aged between 35 and 49. The analysis of injured body parts showed that more than 45% of injuries are multiple injuries. This paper is aimed at identifying the profile of the riskiest construction worker hired by and working for micro and small enterprises, in order to define a safety framework through future research regarding micro and small construction enterprises.
