Abstract
This paper addresses the current issue of the employment situation in the context of the new
world situation related to the Sars Kov.2 (Covid 19) virus and the consequences that we should
expect in the future. The author of the paper analyses the policies undertaken at a national level
in the Macedonian legal and economic system that aim to deal with the problems and
consequences of the virus. The paper analyses the measures and how they reflect on the basic
labour rights and the already adopted labour standards. The author of the paper answers the
essential question, which is whether, in the conditions of the spread of the virus, the state bodies
that create policies are ready and to what extent to restrict the basic labour rights and
international standards. This paper also provides guidance and scientifically predicts the future
steps to be taken to transform and give a new role to the labour law in the coming years and
decades.
