Item type:Publication, Investigation of self-excited vibrations in tread brake unit for railway vehicles(Journal of Vibroengineering, 2016-02); ; The appearance of self-excited vibrations caused by dry friction of two elements or their contact surfaces is common practice in nature and technique. The braking force that slows down the railway vehicles is associated with dry sliding friction between the brake pads and the wheels. This leads to occurrence of self-excited vibrations in tread brake unit or simply brake block. This paper explores the phenomenon of self-excited vibrations in the brake block of railway vehicles. In order to demonstrate the existence of self-excited vibrations, mathematical model is created in Matlab Simulink and the results are compared with experimental data recorded during braking of electric powered train series 412-416 equipped with tread brake unit. Experimental studies have been performed in laboratory and in real-time conditions with braking train. This paper proves the occurrence of self-excited vibrations, their form and intensity. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Comparison of weld quality of unalloyed boiler steels obtained by changing arc process for the root pass(Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, 2017-10-25); ; Gjorgjevikj, SlagjanThis paper considers the effect of applied welding process over the weldment quality. Unalloyed boiler steels such as P265GH (EN) and S355 J2 (+N) (EN) are used as base material respectively. Welding is performed as multipass with SMAW (111), GMAW (131 and 135) and SAW (121). Four different groups of welded speciments are created, depending of the root pass. In the first, second and third group, the root pass is done with 111, 131 and 135 and filling passes with 121, while the fourth group is completely performed by 121. All welds are inspected radiographically and metallographically before submited to further evaluation. Quality assessment of weldments is determined through classical mechanical investigations such as tensile and bending test, Vickers hardness along the weldment and Charpy impact test. Attained results indicate that hybrid arc welding guarantees safer performance and general quality of welded joint. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Theoretical Calculation of Wind Response of Tall Structure with TMD and Comparison with Eurocode EN 1991-1-4 Procedure 2(2015-05); This paper explores the possibilities of the Eurocode EN 1991-1-4 to be used to predict the response of structures with installed dynamic vibration absorber or TMD.The analysis is performed in a way that Davenport model is used to conduct theoretical calculation, and then is made calculation according to Eurocode procedure 2. Finally, results from both methods are compared. Floor displacements, accelerations, aerodynamical damping of structure and compliance to serviceability criteria ISO 10137:2007 is being calculated. In the end, remarks concerning the usability of the EN standard for predicting wind response of wind susceptible structures are given on the basis of calculated results from both methods. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Mathematical model of dynamic vibration absorber-response prediction and reduction(Faculty of Engineering Hunedoara, 2016-02); This paper is dealing with procedures for mathematical modeling of DVA. Usually the problems of optimization are converted to equivalent single degree of freedom (SDOF) structure at particular mode in order to optimize the damper. There are three main parameters in a DVA system: DVA mass, DVA stiffness coefficient and DVA damping ratio. Consequently, the objective is to find the optimum value of these parameters. This paper is investigating also the effect of relative speed of primary structure and its influence on response. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Application of similitude laws for experimental investigations of dynamic properties of tall prototype steel structure(Faculty of Engineering Hunedoara, 2016); ; This paper elaborates the procedures for scaling prototype structure to scale model according to similitude laws keeping the dynamic properties of the original structure. The scaling procedures are very suitable for experiments where the purpose is not only to check the strength of the structure, but also to investigate the performance of other dynamic devices mounted on the primary structure such as dynamic absorbers. In such cases, the use of condensation methods comes to mind in order to reduce the original d.o.f. and make the model structure behave same in the first several modes as the original structure. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Review of factors affecting optimal number of cavities for injection molding of polymers(Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, 2017) ;Mojsovski,KristijanThe industry for designing and manufacturing of molds for injection molding very often faces with problem regarding optimization of number of cavities in the mold. The modern CAD and CAE can be very helpful in this process. Designer has to satisfy several parameters in regards of decreasing the costs and manufacturing time. For this purpose modern software tools are available such as SolidWorks, Master CAM and SolidWorks Plastics. This paper contains multi aspect analysis for molded plastic part manufactured to be cover element of HVAC. Factors such as production rate needs, especially mold design and costs for its manufacturing, are analyzed in this paper. Their influence on selection of optimal number of mold cavities is explained. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Ergonomics as a Relevant Factor in the Field of Nondestructive Testing (NDT)(Association for Information Communication Technology Education and Science (UIKTEN), 2024); ;Caloska, Jasmina ;Velkovski, TrajceDjidrov, MarjanNDT testing is a mandatory procedure in the manufacture of structures and equipment. It is a very useful procedure that embeds quality into the production process itself. It can be an automatic procedure, but for the most part it is a procedure carried out by an operator. The quality of the examination depends on the operator, and possible omissions. Ergonomics therefore plays an important role in the final result and is the subject of research in this paper. Ergonomics plays a significant role, especially in conditions where testing equipment is at a height, located in difficult-to-access spaces, confined spaces, or when using test equipment that requires engagement of muscular structure and the eyes. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Advantages of digital library for manufacturing injection molding tool over individual fabrication(Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, 2017) ;Mojsovski,KristijanThis paper is an overview of the possibilities for the use of standard elements in modeling of injection tools. It covers the use of digital library and how this affects achieving greater efficiency, speed, and significant decrease of the number of errors. A comparison is made with personal individual production. By applying such a flexible system, we save time and money and a better quality is guaranteed. This type of manufacturing by using standardized elements from a digital library is a new type of system that improves overall manufacturing process of injection molding tools.
