Item type:Publication, Professional stress in social workers and psychologists employed in the field of social care and health(Institute for sociological, political and juridical research, Skopje, 2016); ; Professional stress of persons working in helping professions (social workers, psychologists) is insufficiently researched in our country, which reduces the possibility of taking measures to prevent occupational “burn out". On the other hand, the significant socio-economic and political changes in the country have led to an increase in the number of people who face social risks, which inevitably increased the workload of persons from helping professions. In order to establish the situation with professional stress in these occupations in a time span of ten years were carried out two identical surveys. Two instruments were used: list of general data and Scale for measuring professional stress (Weissman, 1996). The obtained data showed an increase in the number of professionals (social workers and psychologists) with high level of professional stress, risk of “burn out” as a result of the increased volume of work engagement. The results of this study could be used in planning future research but also as a basis for planning and preparing programs for rehabilitation and prevention of occupational stress in Individuals working in helping professions. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Quality of life in children without parents placed in foster families(Faculty of Philosophy, Skopje, 2017); Republic of Macedonia establishes the system of social protection and enables its functioning, by providing conditions and measures for social-protective activities. By promoting the process of deinstitutionalization, the idea of preventing the institutionalization of children with moderate and severe mental disability is imposed, as well as the need to initiate activities to support families, including taking responsibility for improving the quality of life of children while keeping them in a home environment. Carers who aggree to care for a child within the family, need to provide love, warmth and care for his health, education, as well as provide stability and security. Within this research, we questioned 47 children who receive care outside the institutions (SOS foster families and other foster families) and 38 children placed in institutional care (11 Oktomvri). The quality of life was assessed with the questionnaire for the quality of life. Results showed that males aged 5-12 years within the system of social protection evaluate their quality of life as lowest, children and adolescents from institutions evaluate their quality of life lower compared with children and adolescents in foster families and the general population. Also, children and adolescents from institutions have the lowest score in emotional functions as a domain of quality of life, while the children and adolescents of the foster families have a minimum quality of life in the area of physical functioning. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, POLITICAL CRISIS, MEDIA AND EMOTIONS(INSTITUTE FOR SOCIOLOGICAL, POLITICAL AND JURIDICAL RESEARCH UNIVERSITY “Ss. CIRYL AND METHODIUS” - SKOPJE, 2016); ; Macedonia will remember 2015 as a year of long-term political crisis. It was a year of intensive activity against the Government. There were “opposition bombs”, disclosed incriminating phone calls, strikes in education, mass protests, camping in front of the Government and the Assembly, a police action against the terrorists in Kumanovo, migrant crisis .... The understanding of the start and the end points of the crisis largely depends on the individual perception created as a result of the personal experience and the experience mediated through offline networks, online networks and media. Apart from the diversity of the events in the surroundings there is also a difference in the style of processing or living one’s own emotions (feeling them, expressing them, understanding them). This research focusses on how students process emotions provoked by news/media stories on the events connected to the abovementioned critical political events. Students from the Faculty of Philosophy, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” voluntarily accepted to take part in this research. Two research instruments were used: questionnaire for the evaluation of the media content and their influence on the emotions of the respondent and the Emotional Processing Scale (EPS) regarding the nature of processing emotions. The research design provides quantitative and qualitative analysis. This study showed that anger, fear and rage are dominantly provoked by negative emotions which are unprocessed or there is avoidance of coping with them (the two unhealthy ways of emotional processing). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Quality of life of children in foster families(University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2017)The family is the natural environment for the growth and development of each child that enables security and sense of belonging. Unfortunately, there are situations when the children lack the opportunity to grow in their biological family with their parents, and they need care in an institution or foster family. Generally accepted UNICEF slogan “every child needs a family” justifies the alternative care of children without parents or parental care in foster families. In the Republic of Macedonia there is not sufficient research on the quality of life of children fostered in institutions and families. This was the main reason for setting up our research. Subject of research is the quality of life of children in foster care. The aim of the research is to assess the quality of lives of children in foster families and to recommend the directions for further improvement. We used descriptive method and scales as research techniques with appropriate indicators for measuring the objective and subjective well-being of the lives of children in foster families. The sample contains 30 children in families. Collected data were treated with quantitative and qualitative analyses. The results point out the critical areas for further intervention in order to improve life of children in the foster families. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Professional burnout and balance between work and family life among teachers(Faculty of Education, Bitola, 2016); With this research can be concluded that teachers with higher professional burnout have a lower degree of balance between work and family life. This implies that schools should pay more attention to the professional burnout in their employees, because it is not only that it is perceived in their work but also in the overall quality of their lives or in the balance between work and family life. The research offers opportunities for further investigation of the causes of the established relationship. It also provides direction in deeper examination of the given problem. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
