Item type:Publication, New Media and Changes in Communication Types(Faculty of Law, Goce Delchev University in Shtip, 2018); ; From the early social thinkers we find a systematic change in thinking from pure existence in the physical world to interpreting the imagined communities that we create due to our thinking process. Today, we are faced with emphasized changes of the types of mediums on the base of way of communication. Studying these changes in the sphere of media and communication in a given social context, starts from two bases, mutually connected assumptions. First, this studying presents existence and appearance of a new technology and new media, which brings to changes of the communicative types, within, this change is connected with certain type of economy, more precisely with a question of globalization, understood in one wider sense. Second, the contents of the media system are put into question, and from this and the dominant model of communication practice. Among sociologists of communication there exists a consensus that new mediums have given changes in relation of interpersonal, group and mass communication. In lack of regulation of contents, new media bring to minimize the function for keeping the gate in media. Actually, it is supposed that displaying of the individuals to new media, to a new virtual web context, and new models of communication, in some period of a few generations, will bring to disappearance of communication face to face. Network communication with hundreds and thousands friends of social media, brings the individuals to drastically alienation from a real world. On that way, social media and network society, function as iron cage according the Weber’s conception for society. Going into all areas of a social life this new kind of communication, with its comprising activity, weakens an interpersonal communication and has influence on the human nature. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Public Opinion Toward Globalization: The Macedonian Experience(University "Goce Delcev", Shtip, 2017); ;Dragovikj, IvanaGlobalization is a phenomenon which, in a great measure, affects every modern society and culture. In the last few decades, in the social sciences, great interest has been taken in this topic, especially in sociology. Sociologists observe this phenomenon as a dynamic process that is built on the base of the mutual connection and dependence between countries and through them explains the changes that happen in the separate sociocultural realities. The theory of globalization refers to the world condensation and intensification of the consciousness of the world as a whole (Robertson, 1992, p. 8). Consciousness has been increasing and the chance for the world to be reproduced as a unique, is growing. That awareness is built on the basis of experience that is a result of the intensification of the world as a whole, and also a consequence of the globalization. In this article our intention is to give analyzes in relation with public opinion for globalization itself in the world, and particularly in Macedonia. Here we will give an observation about the public opinion in relation with this question. On a theoretical level, it analyzes the most significant theories of globalization in sociology, and on an empirical level, through the public opinion, i.e. by measuring the opinions of the public on this phenomenon in Macedonian society. We have researched the opinions of the public through: 1. Respondents’ awareness about globalization; 2. Respondents’ perceptions about the importance of globalization 3. Respondents’ personal opinions on globalization and 4. The presence of globalization worldwide. The research has been conducted on a target sample and has a total of 127 respondents, Macedonian citizens. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Profile of global and the local in culture: the case of the Macedonian society(University Goce Delchev, Shtip, 2019); This paper attempts to explore the relationship between the global and the culture in the Macedonian society. The main purpose of the analysis presented in this paper is to test the adequacy of the relevant theorizations the relationship of the global and the local, especially in terms of the culture, as well as to identify empirically the factors which best explain the relationship of the global and the local in culture in the Macedonian society. The data for this paper comes from a survey of a total of 671, all Macedonian citizens more than 15 years old. The selection of the units of the sample is appropriate to the predetermined quotas. The criterion for establishing the quotas for the selection of the sampling units are as follows: regions, gender and age of the respondents. The research results show that the profile of global and local culture in Macedonian society is built on seventeen factors: (1) " Global synergies of communications and digital technologies in the culture of the Macedonian society Communication”, (2) "Polarization and stratification of rich and poor countries economically, politically and culturally”, (3) "Big worldwide industrial markets affecting local cultures, identities and lifestyles", (4) “Relatively high presence of the globalization in the economy, the financial operations and politics in the Macedonian society ", (5) "The relatively high presence of globalization in fashion trends in clothing, and slightly lower in the sphere of education", (6) "Economically, politically and financially leader international organizations and countries in the world, which are imposed as factors in resolving the internal problems in the local socio-cultural context", (7) “The processes of globalization allow glocal identities, which will enable the integration of the global and the local elements of the culture in the Macedonian society", (8) “The situation and the status of the Macedonian language in the conditions of globalization", (9) “The Internet and the English language in the Macedonian culture as signs of the globalization in it", (10) "Cultures in the Macedonian society strive to preserve its distinctiveness”, (11) "The media as a factor of the globalization processes in culture in the Macedonian society", (12) “Globalization of the culture in the Macedonian society", (13) “The economic progress of the Macedonian society depends on its openness to the modern world processes, which generally do not pose a threat to the identity", (14) “The Macedonian society, is a society with relatively little impact on the globalization", (15) “The Macedonian language as a cultural identifier of the culture and the identity in the Macedonian society", (16) "Globalization in the Macedonian culture leads to the destruction of the boundaries and divisions among different cultures and provokes their mutual interaction", and (17) “The selection of documentaries, films and series in the Macedonian culture announce the presence of the processes of globalization out of which processes of globalization develop directly. " This relation is observed in the constant interaction of cultures and their elements. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Globalization in the Language and Letter through the Public Writings and Firms: the Case in the City Skopje(University Goce Delchev, Shtip, 2017); We focus our subject of research on the changes resulting from the globalization processes in different cultures. Those changes are most obvious in the use of language and writing on the public signboards and company names. Thereto, we considered the approaches of the relevant linguists Ranko Bugarski ( Bugarski, 2001), Joshua Fishman (Fishman,2006), Manfred Steger ( Steger, 2009). Their approaches are based on detailed empirical researches on the contemporary trends in language. According to those trends, they define the language state as: 1. a state in language and 2. the language status in society. Under a state in language they imply the internal structuring of the national language, while under the language status in society they imply its place ( status), which depends on the social conditions in which that language functions. Those social conditions in which the language functions, are of exceptional importance for our analysis, since they are in direct correlation with the globalization processes, which emphasize multilingualism even more as a model according to which public communication is carried in different countries around world, among which is the Republic of Macedonia as well. Moreover, our research was focused on the following issues: - How much a foreign language is present on the public signboards and in company names compared to the mother language?, - How much are the Latin and the Cyrillic alphabet present, with exception of the alphabets of the minority communities in the local environment? - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Some Aspects of Young Attitudes Towards (E)migration: Case of Republic of Macedonia(Institute For Sociological Research, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, 2017); ; Dragovikj, IvanaThis paper examines the intention of the youth population to work and live abroad based on a non - probability sample of the student population. Quantitative strategy is used. The aims of the paper are: to depict the attitudes of the young population in Macedonia towards emigration and try to distinguish the potential emigrant student. Depth analysis is primarily founded on the elemental data. The obtained data are analyzed at the level of the univariate, and bivariate analysis. Application of the binary logistic model was aimed to determine the net effect of the factor variables mentioned above in shaping attitudes towards emigration. Data shows that respondents appear to be particularly keen on mobility, irrespective of some their specific sociodemographic characteristics. The majority of respondents belongs to the group of potentially permanent migration, and also majority is ready to move within one year provided they got an opportunity. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Glocalization vs. Grobalization: a Key Challenge for Contemporary Sociology(2017); In this paper, we analyze the explicative power and the practical relevance of two theoretical perspectives which are of utmost importance for more adequate understanding of our situation and our predicament in the modern world. Тhe first one is the theory of glocalization which refers to the ”mix of global and local” (Robertson, 2001, 1992; Roudometof, 2016; Ritzer, 2007, 2010). According to Robertson (1995, p. 28), the concept of glocalization in business life originated from micro-marketing, more precisely from the advertisement of goods and services in various local environments and markets. It is a known strategy of the capitalistic system in which there is an increased adjustment of global markets to local markets and cultures or “global localization” in the opinion of Robertson (Robertson, 1992, p. 173). Ronald Robertson (2001, pp. 465-466), referring to the relation between the global and the local, points out the mixture of the global and the local in various geographical areas, from which the process of glocalization comes out. The second one is the theory of grobalization which refers to the imperialistic ambitions of nations, corporations, organizations, and the like, while their desire indeed need to impose themselves on various geographic areas (Ritzer, 2007, p. 15). The term implies that these entities seek to have their power, influence, and in many cases profits grow (hence the term grobalization). The term was created as a counterpart to glocalization, or “the interpenetration of the global and the local, resulting in unique outcomes in different geographic areas” (Ritzer, 2007, p. 13).
