Item type:Publication, Controllable load operation in microgrids using control scheme based on gossip algorithm(Elsevier BV, 2018-01) ;Krkoleva Mateska, Aleksandra; ;Krstevski, PetarThe paper presents a novel control scheme for thermostatically controllable devices (TCDs) for application in Microgrids (MGs). It is implemented assuming that household controllable load is connected and interfaced with appropriate, commercially available equipment that allows communication. The work presented in this paper provides an integrated solution for continuous control of TCDs operation under normal MG operation as well as controlled change of TCDs states upon request of MG operator or aggregator. The solution is based on gossip algorithm (GSA) adapted for implementation in MGs. The simulation results of the proposed scheme show that its implementation facilitates MG operation control. The simulation results also show that it allows fast control message dissemination and adequate changes of operation of TCDs according the request of MG operator or an aggregator. The proposed control scheme also considers customer's comfort and does not require customer's continuous involvement in the control process. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Enabling an environment for solar and wind energy deployment in the Macedonian agricultural sector(AIP Publishing, 2013-07) ;Markovska, Natasa ;Krkoleva, Aleksandra ;Taseska, Verica; Pop-Jordanov, JordanThe paper deals with the possibility for cross-cutting the agricultural and energy sector, aiming toward better utilisation of the available renewable energy sources. An integrated methodological framework is proposed in order to formulate the possible solutions to the core question, which is "who does what" to improve the utilization of renewable energy potential in the agricultural sector. The methodology includes mainly stakeholder analyses (focusing on importance, knowledge, position, and interests of each stakeholder), as well as problem and objective tree analyses. It is applied for the case of solar and wind energy deployment in the Macedonian agricultural sector. The creation of "enabling environment" is a complex process which involves different stakeholders, with specific roles and assignments, but acting in partnership with one another. Implicitly, some recommendations in a form of priority actions with roles and responsibilities assigned to various stakeholders are proposed in the paper. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Regional Transmission Network Modelling for Facilitating Congestion Management(Wydawnictwo SIGMA-NOT, sp. z.o.o., 2015-06-05) ;KRSTEVSKI, Petar ;Krkoleva Mateska, Aleksandra ;Angelov, Jordanco; This paper provides convenient solutions for creation of transmission network models for power flow calculation for regional interconnected electric power systems. The creation of network models is based on data provided from different Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in standard data exchange format for this purpose. The automation of the model creating process facilitates the work of the TSOs in the field of congestion management and power system operational planning.
