Item type:Publication, Influence of the Inappropriate School Furniture on the Bodies of Children in Development(2023) ;Jevtoska, ElenaRange of activities performed in a sitting position are requiring a particular sitting angle, meaning many different positions of the body are considered as ‘sitting”. A wrongly chosen position for a particular activity may affect the curvature of the spine, can cause fatigue of the muscles on the back, on the abdomen, in the pelvis and in the femur bone, can affect the circulation in the lower extremities, and can increase pressure on the nerves affecting temperature exchange of the body. With the increase of the time spent in a sitting position and the consequences that can be brought by an incorrect sitting position, it is necessary to pay more attention when designing the chairs. The influence of the sitting position is especially expressed in the groups of users who are spending most of the time in this position while performing their daily activities. This group of users also includes children of school age spending the school day in a sitting position. If it is not carefully dimensioned and designed, the long-term use of furniture for sitting and working in educational institutions can cause harm to the health of the users. The purpose of this research is to provide data on the effect of a wrongly dimensioned chair on different height users of school furniture. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Analysis of dimensions of desks in the primary schools in the municipality of Aerodrom(2021) ;Jevtoska, Elena; ;Antovska, IvanaKrstev, MarijaEducational institutions are facilities where each person spends many years of their life. Desks used in these institutions are designed with specific features of shape, material and size. Long-term use of desks in educational institutions may be the cause of damage to the health of users if they are not carefully designed and dimensioned. In compliance with the prescribed rules and dimensions in the design of desks it is of great importance for proper development of the users that are in the stage of growth and development when using this type of desk. In this paper, the functional dimensions of real samples of desks taken from primary schools in the Municipality of Aerodrom – Skopje will be measured. The testing samples of desks will be designated to the group that they belong to according to the EN 1729-1:2006 standard, and all requested dimensions according to the standard will be measured. Item type:Publication, Influence of the material from which the profile is made on the final quality of the window(2023) ;Jevtoska, ElenaThe window as a product used in construction aims to provide natural light and the possibility for ventilation in the building where it is placed but at the same time to protect the room from external influences such as wind and rain and to prevent uncontrolled cooling or heating of the building in which it is built-in. Given the purpose, a quality window is one that protects against air penetration, water penetration and provide wind resistance. The window is a complex product that is composed of different parts that can be made of different materials. As part of this research, windows constracted from profiles made of different materials (wood, PVC, aluminum) with approximately the same dimensions of the profiles will be tested. The same type of glass package will be built in every window. The goal is to prove whether the material which is used for making the window profile has an impact on the final quality of the window. To carry out the research, thirty windows will be tested of which ten are made of wooden profile, ten of aluminum profile and ten of PVC profile in accordance with European norms EN 1026:2016 (test method for air permeability), EN 1027: 2016 (water permeability test method), EN 12211:2016 (wind resistance test method). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Analysis of the required dimensions in the standard EN 1729-1:2015 its connection with anthropometry of the children in growth and development(2023) ;Jevtoska, ElenaSitting position of the body is used in the performance of many daily activities and physiological needs. Most often, the sitting position is chosen when doing something that requires increased precision with the hands, while having good eye control. Therefore, the sitting position is most often used in the educational process ,during classes , while writing or drawing. Prolonged sitting in school desks can contribute to deformities of the skeleton of students if they sit on chairs inappropriate for their age. The control of the measures of the chairs is performed in accordance with the standard EN 1729-1: 2015 Furniture - Chairs and tables for educational institutions - Part: Functional dimensions. This paper will consider how the required measures and height groups in the standard are related with the anthropometry of children in growth and development . Is it necessary for a school to have chairs of all height groups to meet the needs of all students or it can be achieved with 2 or 3 different height groups of chairs. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Influence of furniture exploitation on the bending strength of final corner joins made of oriented strand boards(2021) ;Krstev, Marija ;Antovska, Ivana ;Jevtoska, ElenaThe purpose of this research, presented in the paper is to show how the exploitation of furniture affect the strength of its connectors, more precisely the bending strength of the final corner dismountable joints for designed furniture – office desk. For solving this problem 2 office desks were made (from chosen material OSB panels), joined by dismountable connectors, and also from the same material and the same type of connectors, reference test fixtures were made and their bending strength was the value of comparison. Office desks were tested according to European Standard for determining the stability of the structure and that was simulated exploration of furniture. After that, the final corner compositions were cut off, and its bending strength was compared with the reference test fixtures strength. The obtained results showed that the exploiting of dismountable furniture has not a significant impact on their compositions strength. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
