Item type:Publication, Integral Model for Distributing Functional Roles Within a Working Team(National and University Library of the Republic of Srpska, 2014-06-23) ;Andonovic, Beti ;Spasovska, Marina ;Temkov, Mishela
Abstract: Long-term and short-term efficiency and effectiveness of a working team depend on an optimal Roles distribution within it. Therefore, having a model which enables such corresponding distribution is of a high interest to any quality manager. Two main concepts, the Roles concept of Adizes and Working styles concept of Julie Hay, are involved to create an integral model with an original approach to the Roles distribution in any working team. The greatest advantage of this model is that it is predictive instead of experiential: it makes it possible to make a corresponding Roles distribution in advance within the team, without previously monitoring the activities of the potential team members. A discussion to the relation between the possible outcomes and the level of prediction is given.
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Lactobacillus casei Encapsulated in Soy Protein Isolate and Alginate Microparticles Prepared by Spray Drying(Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology - University of Zagreb, 2017-06) ;Hadzieva, Jasmina; ;Crcarevska, Maja Simonoska ;Dodov, Marija GlavašDimchevska, SimonaThis article presents a novel formulation for preparation of Lactobacillus casei 01 encapsulated in soy protein isolate and alginate microparticles using spray drying method. A response surface methodology was used to optimise the formulation and the central composite face-centered design was applied to study the effects of critical material attributes and process parameters on viability of the probiotic after microencapsulation and in simulated gastrointestinal conditions. Spherical microparticles were produced in high yield (64%), narrow size distribution (d50=9.7 µm, span=0.47) and favourable mucoadhesive properties, with viability of the probiotic of 11.67, 10.05, 9.47 and 9.20 log CFU/g after microencapsulation, 3 h in simulated gastric and intestinal conditions and four-month cold storage, respectively. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the probiotic stability after microencapsulation, while differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry pointed to high thermal stability of the soy protein isolate-alginate microparticles with encapsulated probiotic. These favourable properties of the probiotic microparticles make them suitable for incorporation into functional food or pharmaceutical products. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Development of Poly(L-lactic acid) Films Containing Curcuma lunga L. Extract for Active Cheese Packaging(MDPI AG, 2025) ;Bužarovska, Aleksandra; Trajkovska Petkoska, Anka
Biobased packaging solutions with active functions for different food categories are a very attractive topic nowadays. This packaging provides suitable preservation of the food quality and extends the shelf life of packed items. In addition, this is a promising pathway to overcome global pollution, to protect human health, as well as to provide a better planetary wellbeing. In this work, a packaging composition based on poly(lactic acid) (PLA) with the addition of Curcuma longa L. (C) extract prepared by the solution casting method is promoted as a potential packaging option for the active food packaging of cheese. The dopant levels of the extract were performed at 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 5%, and 10%, while the neat PLA film was used as a control. The obtained results are promising. By a thermal analysis, it is shown that C-extract has a plasticizing and nucleating effect on PLA molecules, as well as improving the barrier and other film properties. Moreover, this packaging was proven as a potential antimicrobial packaging for white cheese—it enables extending the shelf life by direct contact. This is a simple way of manufacturing biobased packaging doped with natural antimicrobials that could be used for other food categories that are prone to microbiological attack.
- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, MINIMALLY INVASIVE PLATE OSTEOSYNTHESIS OF THE DISTAL TIBIA - COMPARISON OF TWO DIFFERENT IMPLANTS(Faculty of Medicine, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, 2024) ;Nastov, Nebojsha; ; Trpevski, SimonMinimally invasive percutaneous locking plate osteosynthesis (MIPLPO) enables widening of indication area for using locking plates in the distal tibia region. Timing of surgery, appearance of deformity on X-ray, postoperative pain and the loss of range of motion were analyzed between two groups of patients. Preliminary results showed statistically significant advantage in shortening the operative time, appearance of deformity on X-ray, as well as improving the range of motion in patients treated with MIPLPO technique. Patients treated with MIPLPO technique showed statistically significantly better results compared to those treated with MIPPO technique. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
