Item type:Publication, Dimensioning of the Speed-Transition Lanes at the Entering Ramps on the Motorway and Urban Road Intersections(Procedia Engineering 117(1), pp 549-555, 2015)Slobodan Ognjenovic, Radojka Donceva, Nikolai VatinUrban roads and streets - an important part of the urban economy. Highways and street and road network of the city form its planning structure. This is the most stable element of urban structure. Urban development is inextricably linked with the city's road network development. This paper analyses and presents, in a concise form, an actual methodology and some insights concerning the defining of the parameters, dimensioning and forming of the junction ramps in the entering zones (acceleration zones) of the same into motorways, highways and main urban streets from the flow capacity point of view. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Dynamic Homogeneity and Functional Dependence on the Number of Traffic Accidents, the Role in Urban Planning(Procedia Engineering 117(1), pp 556-563, 2015)Slobodan Ognjenovic, Radojka Donceva, Nikolai VatinThis paper presents certain research of some roads in the Republic of Macedonia, with the purpose to express the functional dependence of the dynamic homogeneity on the number of road accidents in the urban area. The paper presents a relationship between the medium quadrat deviation and the medium velocity in a free traffic flow. The dynamic homogeneity is obtained as on the basis of the construction of the velocity in a free traffic flow, on which the adequate diagrams were construed, depending on the designed geometric elements on the alignment of the road in the plan and the profile. Furthermore, pursuant to the parameter of the dynamic homogeneity it is possible to numerically evaluate the success of the alignment solution and a numeric comparison of the variants in the pre-design stage, or in the stage of an preliminary design. This research can serve as an analysis of the alignment of the road as referring to the newly designed and the already constructed roads. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Designing of Rehabilitations of urban and Non-Urban Roads(Procedia Engineering 117(1), pp573-578, 2015)Slobodan Ognjenovic, Radojka Donceva, Nikolai VatinConsidering the relatively good condition of the urban and non-urban roads in Macedonia on the one hand, and the level of damage of the pavements on the other hand, there is an emerging necessity to invest considerable financial amounts on their maintenance. The pavement rehabilitation is a measure of the maintenance level intended to eliminate all damages of the pavements incurred in time and under the influence of traffic and climate, as well as to adjust the bearing capacity of the pavement on the increasing traffic load. Therefore, it is especially important to correctly plan and carry out these activities.
