Item type:Publication, Approaches to the Development of New Simple Rapid HPLC–Photodiode Array Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Levomenthol and Ibuprofen in Gel Pharmaceutical Formulation(Wiley, 2025-05-19) ;Piponski, Marjan ;Beneta, Antonija ;Stefkov, Gjose ;Karanfilova, Ivana CvetkovikjHoryn, MarianaABSTRACT We have developed a new approach in creating a simple, fast analytical method for the simultaneous determination of ibuprofen and menthol in pharmaceutical dosage form by using an HPLC-photodiode array system with a selected reversed-phase column after numerous experiments with columns covering the full spectrum of polarities; C-18, C-8, phenyl, cyanopropyl, and silica-based liquid chromatography matrices. The main problem and challenge for the development method was using many liquid chromatography features to detect and measure the analyte molecule of menthol, which is almost UV-invisible, having a structure without any chromophore in its structure. The enormous UV-absorbing characteristics between ibuprofen and menthol complicate the creation of a simple, rapid, reproducible, rugged, and accurate simultaneous analytical method with high throughput character. Low injection volumes were used for conceptual purposes. The final analytical method has been developed with one simple sample preparation for the determination of two distinct analytes, always determined with two different techniques or one with more sophisticated detection systems and separate sample preparation. As we could check and compare, the proposed HPLC simultaneous quantification method for levomenthol and ibuprofen is one of the simplest and shortest analytical methods for mutual determination in pharmaceutical dosage forms. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Development and validation of automated SPE‐LC‐MS/MS method for determination of indapamide in human whole blood and its application to real study samples(Wiley, 2013-06-24); ;Mladenovska, K. ;Labacevski, N. ;Dimovski, A.Petkovska, R.A fast and simple liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry method for determination of indapamide in human whole blood was developed and validated. The sample extraction of indapamide from human whole blood was achieved using automated solid-phase extraction. Chromatographic separation was performed on Kinetex C18 column (100 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 µm particle size) using acetonitrile and 2 mm ammonium formate in ratio 90:10 (v/v) as a mobile phase. The mass spectrometer was operated in the multiple reaction monitoring mode using positive electrospray ionization for indapamide and the internal standard (zolpidem tartarate). The total run time was 2.5 min. The present method was found to be linear in the concentration range of 1–50 ng/mL with the coefficient of determination 0.9987. The absolute recoveries of indapamide were 90.51–93.90%. The method was validated according the recommendations for validation of bioanalytical methods of European Medicines Agency guideline and was successfully used to analyze human whole blood samples for application in a pharmacokinetic study. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
