Abstract: This paper presents analytical and numerical methods for modelling heat transfer process, thermal behaviour and thermal interaction between geothermal borehole U-tube heat exchangers. The basics of mathematical modelling being presented here are according to the existing analytical methods used to calculate this type of system. Regarding the numerical method of analysis, shown an analogy of the work together with the analyses that can be done using a software package intended for this type of systems. The aim of this paper is to present the possible solutions for calculating key parameters when dimensioning this type of system.
