The paper presents the development of cadastral law in the legal system of North Macedonia throughout history until today. Through the analysis of the regulations in the field of cadastral law, the paper shows the functionality of today's system of registration of real estate rights, which is an integral part of the so-called Geodetic-cadastral information system. The creation of this Geodetic-cadastral information system began in 2008 when the first modern Law on real estate cadastre entered into force. The paper shows that the digitalization of the cadaster system in North Macedonia established by the real estate cadaster Laws of 2008 and 2013, brought significant benefits to the legal practice. The digital connection of state authorities, institutions, and other entities with the Agency for Real Estate Cadaster enabled quick and easy access to real estate data which increased the efficiency of public and other services that they offer. The paper also contains an analysis of the digitalization of cadastral systems in comparative law in order to compare the level of development of the Macedonian cadastral law and the EU member states. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12188/30957 |
