Abstract: In obstetric anesthesia emergencies, the anesthesiologist and obstetrician-gynecologist must focus their attention on the well-being of both the mother and the unborn child. To maintain the well-being of the child, the mother's vital functions must be stable at all times. There are several emergency conditions, but in this presentation, we will focus first on postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, as the most common causes of maternal mortality, and further on cardiopulmonary arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of a pregnant woman as the most urgent condition.
