dc.description.abstractIt has been demonstrated that the BER (bit error rate) performance of turbo codes may be enhanced by applying an adaptive control technique to suppress transient dynamics in the turbo-decoding algorithm. In this work, we extend the method to a suboptimal decoding scheme, which is more suitable for practical implementation, and discuss the effect of metrics quantization.en_US
