Form a corporate perspective, there are several type of disputes: disputes involving economic interest, disputes not involving economic interests, disputes in partnerships, disputes between company and its organs and disputes in employment matters. Now, speedy and effective settlement of disputes (regardless of their nature) is a primary requirement for the smooth flow of trade at all levels – local, national and international. Today, arbitration is a very popular form of alternative dispute resolution, especially in commercial disputes. Among the various ADR mechanisms, arbitration is the closest in spirit to the adjudication process. Unlike other settings, the arbitrator is granted the authority to decide the case and deliver awards to the parties in dispute.en_US
