Abstract: This paper deals with an analysis of the effects on the electromagnetic characteristics by changing the dimensions of the permanent magnets such as the overlap angle of the permanent magnets (α) and the radial height of the permanent magnets (hpm) and/or by changing the air‐gap length (δ) and the coil span (y) of the rotor winding.
