Aim: To determine the interleukins profile?II-1, IL-6 and TNF/in humor aqueous and serum of patients with senile or diabetic cataracts. Material and methods: Aqueous humor was taken from patients during Extracapsular Cataract Extraction/15 patients with senile cataract and 20 with diabetic cataract .Also samples from the peripheral blood were taken and interleukins were measured in both aqueous and serum by means of an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results will be discussed. Conclusion: Interleukins may play the role in the inflammation process after the Extracapsular Cataract Extraction.en_US
