Abstract: In this paper we will address the types of cyber threats on the Internet, the legal framework in the Macedonian legal system, cyber security management policies in our country and institutional capacity, as well as the need to find an effective model to deal with these modern threats and challenges. For the purposes of the research, a combined methodological approach will be applied based on the analysis of the latest trends in the field of cyber threats and the strengthening of cyber security globally, as well as analysis of domestic legal sources in this field, in order to determine the current situation in the domestic legal system and to detect the needs, weaknesses and directions for further policy-making processes.
